In 2016 we made some big changes here, we encourage you to go check out this journal to find out more: 2016: Big changes at Project Educate

In this journal you will find the currently open positions here at projecteducate and a few details on how to apply for each one!

  • Community Week Leads:

Community Weeks are designed to get the Community involved in Project Educate. We want YOUR articles, whatever the topic, as long as the focus is educational. During Community Weeks there is no cohesive theme or topic. Articles cover a wide range of areas and the diversity in content is a big part of what is so appealing about these weeks!

What does a "lead" do?

  1. Drum up interest in an upcoming Community Week (i.e: post a journal asking for contributors)
  2. Collect and approve article ideas from the community. (i.e: respond to notes pitching ideas to us)
  3. Organize a schedule for the week that details when each article is to be posted.
  4. Ensure that all articles have been edited by our Editing Team.
  5. Watch the magic happen!

Will I be doing this alone?

No. At least 1 Community Volunteer will be mentoring you through the process. You might even work with other members of the community and co-lead a week, in addition to having the support of Community Volunteers! It's all about teamwork, and we really want to foster an environment in which we all work together to produce awesome weeks and content!

How to apply:

Simply fill out this quick and easy survey and we will get back to you asap!

If you're interested in becoming part of the team in order to better spread the word about our group, please send us a note detailing your interest and time availability! A main aspect of this job would entail inviting new members into the group, head-hunting potential future contributors, and finding other creative ways to promote the group!

Hello!
In regards to the Editing position, is it a requirement to have written articles before?
