Community Week

At projecteducate we're trying a new type of regular mini contests of sorts where we encourage you to tap into your creative juices and produce some form of art, related to a specific theme or prompt. If you have any recommendations or thoughts on types of contests or challenges you'd like to see, please let us know! The point is that these are quick little contests that also challenge your ability to produce something quickly, so don't fret, we are not expecting masterpieces that would normally take you a month or more to produce.

Prompt:

Produce a piece of art, whether it be a poem, a painting, a photo, a sketch, etc, that is related to the concept of the supernatural. ALL MEDIUMS ACCEPTED.

"Of or relating to an order of existence beyond the visible observable universe; especially :  of or relating to God or a god, demigod, spirit, or devil."

"
Departing from what is usual or normal especially so as to appear to transcend the laws of nature."

Rules:

  • Your deviation must be NEW - created AND posted after the posting of this journal.
  • Your deviation must be submitted via comment on this journal.

          as dusk met dawn
          my home undone

how dare it fill the sky
with colors riotous and fun
how dare it say the day has just begun
          disgrace, disgrace
          you're not my son

the world outside the window wildly spun
          a blurry view
          that stops for none

amazing how much thirstier you become
running just below the barrel of a gun
my bag is light but it must weigh a ton

Having to Say GoodbyeThe young man stood at the glass storm door while holding his black and white kitty. The kitty purred and felt comfort in his arms. He leaned down his head to touch his cheek to the kittie's soft fur. The young man looked out the storm door and allowed his gaze to take in the neighborhood and saw the neighbor across the street looking at him straight in the eye. She didn't move a muscle. He gave her a small smile and a quick nod of his head, bent over to let the kitty down then walked back into the house. Next thing he knew, he was in is bedroom looking around. It had changed in the last week after his mother did a impromptu cleaning. That happened sometimes.
Wondering into the basement, he looked at his computer, the one he bought to replace the old one with the broken microphone. When gaming he had to type out his end of the conversation, while other gamers could simply talk into their mics. He chuckled to think of the one time he was gaming while his mom was on the other computer. H
