The chats and forums (chat, forum) are places where you can interact with other DeviantArt members. The forums are divided into 9 different categories, and feature 25 (28 if you're a premium member and senior) different forums with different purposes in which you can post threads and comment on other peoples' threads. The chatrooms are limitless, in that hundreds of chatrooms exist in which you can join! However, DeviantArt has its official and CR run chatrooms where you might want to venture first! All in all, the chats and forums are a great way to meet new people, get your artwork seen, blow off some steam, joke around with people, and just have some fun!

If you're new to DeviantArt you might want to check out the welcome chatroom to ask any questions you might have, and chat with other new members! Also check out the group DAWelcomeWagon for all the info you'll want to learn as a newbie on the site! Furthermore, the Welcome Center forum is there for you to introduce yourself and chat with other members! While each month a forumer is featured/nominated in the monthly Forum Features done by the Community Relations team, we want to feature some badass member of the forums here, just for the hell of it! • NightOwlsChat - Run by deviant-garde, this is a place for people who like to party all night long. Stay up late? Join them!

• GayBiWorlds - A wonderful place for all open minded straight & LGBTIQQA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Questioning, Asexual) people to have a place to hang out, chat and feel safe that is run by Romaji.

• dAobsession - A place to discuss all things related to DeviantArt that is run by Tahog
  

• OCMeetsOC - A place where people can roleplay with their own characters. Come on in, 'tis the season and all that.

• BotDom - Run by Azildin, it's a room for chat (dAmn) bots, their developers, users and groupies. Wish to obtain a chat (dAmn) bot? This is the place. This is recommended when you create your own chatroom and find yourself needing a bot, for example.

• FreeWriters - A room for writers and readers to talk about writing and almost anything else that is run by Demonicsoul87

• RPAffinity - Step in take your shoes off, make yourself at home. Welcome to this safe, carefree and fun RP request room that is run by MiyuDimon

• HouseofInsanics is run by AconiteSymphony is an RP room for any type of RP that is PG13. A fun place where you can chat and feel safe!

• Kelacao is run by Neiot and is a chatroom-based roleplaying game for deviants with original characters just itching for a chance to interact with other original characters. It is a complex world rich with lore in a wide variety of themes from supernatural to medieval to futuristic. Everybody is welcome to register as long as they work within the rules. Every member may submit up to three characters, and should post at a minimum of three sentences in paragraph format while they are roleplaying. Join the group as well! Kelacao

The Complaints and Praise forums are pretty much complete opposites of each other. Here's a highlight of recent grins and gripes you'll find in each respective forum.

Each month an active member of the forums is selected by the Community Relations team or nominated by their peers to be featured in a mass journal posted at the end of the month. This feature includes: CV picks of the members' artwork with a few words about it, and quotes and mini-interview questions from their fellow forumers, about them. The feature also includes the artwork that has been collected throughout the month in the 'Forum Features' themed sticky thread that you can find in the Deviation ThumbShare forum. The theme changes every month, as does the nominated forumer! To participate, you can find the new monthly Forum Feature thread to share your related art, and/or you can nominate a forumer to be featured, in addition to messaging Mrs-Durden about providing quotes or answering questions about the featured forumer.
