Shadows of the past by Mrs-Durden Shadows of the past by Mrs-Durden

Photographer. Myself

Wasn't too sure about making it a square, or about the B&W + Grain, but I sort of like the old and dark effect it gives.

This image truly hits you and makes you want to see more and take a longer look. This isn't an image that one would just skip past, this is exceptional. The lighting is very well done giving the image an old fashioned feel to it. The piano and the details upon the piano make for the perfect background, and add to the picture. Backgrounds can be rather tricky because sometimes the details can be disorienting. This is not the case within this image, the background compliments the focus of the picture.
The vision is stunning, its original, technique very well done; this is an excellent capture. And as for impact it truly hits you with its beauty. This is a wonderful photo excellent work.

I think what you've done here is absolutely beautiful!  I wouldn't change a thing about this image at all.

Does a fav count as a vote in favor of the result?

You might want to pull down the curves just a bit on the low end to deepen the blacks.

Yes :D

I was pretty afraid of it being too dark, since half of the face is already in the shadows, I'll try and play with the curves again and see what happens :)
